It has been a long topic of debate and quarrel about what happened to the treasures of Azad Hind Fauj or Indian National Army (INA). Some people have also said that it was looted by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The recent files released by Narendra Modi led Indian Government have irradicated all these dimentionless theories. The fund was given to Indian Government in 1951 by the Japanese Government. There was two trunks full of gold, diamond and other precious jewellery given by Indians residing in Malayasia and Burma and an amount of 20,000 Yen (i.e. Rs 282 10 paise approx.). The treasure was kept under safe custody of National Museum, Delhi, India. This was also later confirmed by Deve Gowda led government. RSS MP Shri Subhramanyam Swami made an irrational claim that the wealth was looted by Nehru without any evidence. This has now become completely wrong hypothesis.
